Transportation and Marketing

The South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and the North-South Main Gas Pipeline (NSMP) are the two gas pipelines that transport gas through Georgia. The Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum Gas Pipeline, also known as the South Caucasus Pipeline, transports gas from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz field to Turkey. The pipeline’s total length is 692 km, of which 249 km are in Georgia. The pipeline’s intended throughput is 20 billion cubic meters annually. SCP primarily runs alongside the BTC pipeline. Russian gas is transferred through the North-South Main Gas Pipeline (NSMP) to Armenia. The Georgian section of the NSMP has a length of 234 km and a design throughput of 12 billion cubic meters annually.

Georgian Gas Transportation Company, a state-owned company and licensee for natural gas transportation, runs the state’s natural gas transportation network. The relevant license was obtained by Qassin Oil LTD in 2021, and as of the aforementioned time, gas has been transported through Georgia. According to the Lease Agreement that was signed between Qassin Oil LTD, the natural gas transport infrastructure listed on Qassin Oil LTD’s balance is transferred to ZDOC.

Oil Marketing

Selling crude oil, natural gas, and petroleum products on both domestic and foreign markets, Qassin Oil LTD makes sure that flows are evenly distributed to satisfy market demand. Because of the company’s pipelines and facilities for transshipping crude oil and petroleum products, transportation costs are reduced. Qassin Oil LTD has a strong infrastructure and marketing plan in place to sell petroleum products on both domestic and foreign markets. The export sales of petroleum products from Qassin Oil LTD will reach 25.3 million tons by 2021. (In 2022, 10.2 million tons are anticipated; in contrast). The Company successfully increased the market value of this asset by making separate deliveries of high-quality fuel oil produced at the refinery to Baltic and Black Sea ports in 2021.

In order to increase the percentage of high-margin channels in the overall sales structure, the company monitors the economic performance of the oil monetization channels. The Company anticipates providing approximately 1.2 million tons of oil to its own Georgian operations in 2021, a 15% increase from 2022. (Based on deliveries to refineries since October 2022). The increase in supply volumes was primarily brought on by the acquisition in 2022. The Corporation provided 1.1 million tons of its own oil—an increase of 3% over the prior year—to factories with stock in the Company in 2022.
